drill cotton suit/ navy/
pictured in type-2 jacket + cavalry trouser
Type 2 – the Guardsman, a style attributed to the officers of the historic regiment of the British army; angular, upright, broad-shouldered, broad-chested, with a heavily fitted waist
Made more contemporary ours has a skinny lapel, narrower chest and a reduced skirt and though it has more modern feel and it still keeps the formal appearance of the classical English suit. A 3-to-2, its low lapel roll and low break makes it look more like a two button jacket. It has our characteristic curved military sleeve with a ‘working’ cuff.
